Welcome to Attune Consulting.
In order to feel valued and safe, develop increased self-esteem and confidence and contribute to the wider community, children and adults do best in a ‘secure’ and responsive ‘holding environment’ or relationship. These advantages are all rooted in the attachment systems present in the first years of life. This understanding has contributed to my belief that individuals and families/ whanau, group functioning and organisational capacity can be enhanced through a greater understanding of the importance of attachment theory and the attachment relationship. With this knowledge parents/ caregivers and families/ whanau can strengthen their ability respond to their children’s need for relationship and through training and supervision organisations can create opportunities to enhance staff responsiveness, critical reflective capacity and create secure leadership and client centred service delivery.
Attune Consulting is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Attune philosophy is informed by my management experience, psychotherapeutic training and experience; integrating theoretical approaches in organisational leadership, developmental psychology, attachment theory, object relations theory and neurological brain research.
